"Not far," she says, stretching slightly. "I thought I'd teach you a bit about the way of the warrior. Not that you have to choose to be a Shadowsbane-- but it's not right to pick without knowing a little bit of everything, right?" Her grin is big as she takes a few running paces in place. "Find out what you like, what calls to you, that sort of thing. So I'm going to take you out on a little survey of the area."
She starts them off, moving with high energy. He's a good kid, a strong sort, and she's sure he'd shape up into the perfect example of a warrior-- if he wanted! It's so hard, because she's eager to share with him everything that she likes, but isn't it wrong to pressure your kids into being clones of you? Aaaagh, make it easy!
"So the main thing when patrolling is that you want to keep your eyes on the landscape. Any signs of strangers passing through, or any pack members in danger, or any loners at the border... All that's the job of the Shadowsbane."
