Seems the berries' aging has slowed momentarily, and frankly, she's fine with that. Fleetwood's more attached to them than she could ever convey. There aren't words, frankly, and she's not sure her actions could, either. But she wants as much time with them as possible, each and every one of those precious little sweethearts. And Pinesprings is shaping up to be the most like her. He's so confident and brave, and frankly, she's sure he'll make a great warrior or hunter. Depends on what he wants, really-- she'd support him through anything! But if he could be her little shadow, wouldn't that be so cute?

She nudges his shoulder, gently, as the sun crawls over the horizon. "Pine," she starts, "do you want to come with me on patrol today?" She'll make sure the route is even safer than usual. He's big enough to defend himself, but not trained. She could change that, she's sure.

"Not far," she says, stretching slightly. "I thought I'd teach you a bit about the way of the warrior. Not that you have to choose to be a Shadowsbane-- but it's not right to pick without knowing a little bit of everything, right?" Her grin is big as she takes a few running paces in place. "Find out what you like, what calls to you, that sort of thing. So I'm going to take you out on a little survey of the area."

She starts them off, moving with high energy. He's a good kid, a strong sort, and she's sure he'd shape up into the perfect example of a warrior-- if he wanted! It's so hard, because she's eager to share with him everything that she likes, but isn't it wrong to pressure your kids into being clones of you? Aaaagh, make it easy!

"So the main thing when patrolling is that you want to keep your eyes on the landscape. Any signs of strangers passing through, or any pack members in danger, or any loners at the border... All that's the job of the Shadowsbane."
