Summons were no longer such an uncommon fixture of life in Avon.
New faces continued to show up, seeking refuge within Avon - and Fable was happy for it. She wanted to make their presence meaningful, something that would proliferate long after she drew her final breath. What better legacy was there than one of altruism and knowing the borders of Avon were a safe place for all? She did not need her name to be remembered, but she did want to hone the Meadows into a place of security, warmth, and life.
Perhaps a little more life than she bargained for, she thought with amusement to herself, as she strolled toward the howled beckon and onto the scene of three wolves - one of which was a shade of rotund she remembered all too well from her own pregnancy. How had it already been six months since her daughters were born in that harrowing cave?
A welcoming smile pooled across her muzzle as she approached, her tail waving gently as she regarded the Elysium wolves. She recognized their pack's scent, given they shared a border not so long ago.
Her gaze drifted from one face to the next, ears cupped forward. Had something happened to lead the three of them here? Fable did not think it prudent to send a pregnant wolf to deliver a missive, leading her to suspect this was more than a social call.
