Tyr wasn't yelling, but that might've been better.
It'ssa apology, she returned quietly, lowering her head to rest upon Tyr's leg,
I didn't think the mountain was so far. Thank you for comin' after me.
Mayyyyyyyyyybe some better planning was needed in the future, like telling Cupid where she planned to go, or asking someone how far they thought that mountain in the distance might be. Still... it'd been a great learning experience. Now she could better judge distances, now she had real exploration under her belt. Sure, she'd snuck off the island before, but she'd never left sight of the shore. She knew it was irresponsible, and she'd worried everyone... but she had no regrets. She clearly would've been fine on her own, but the fatherly presence of the chimera was, for the first time, welcome.
Perhaps she'd been wrong to harken Tyr to no more than a family friend, her mentor, the one her littermates looked like. The girl listened to the chattering of a lone bird somewhere nearby as she tried to explain.
I was called, and I knew Papa would be scared. I just wanted to help, Tyr, you heard him too didn't you? If we don't do something, Skjǫldrheim won't have a home left to come back to.
