Now, he could admit.

He did not know what a “party” was.

But when Mx Juniper asked him to help them set up for such an event, his curiosity was piqued and he could not help but to tag along.

With dutiful paws he worked the fine-smelling plants into her pelt, smiling all the while. How pretty she was! And how well he had done! Though the boy never thought himself an artist of any sort, and especially not one worthy of decorating somewolf who would have to deal with the mess he’d inevitably create on their pelt. However, Southeast was delighted to know that he had done well.

It was the resulting bubbly joy that the boy brought with him to the celebration, a wide thin-lipped smile on his small face that radiated into a glimmer from his eyes. Tail wagged, ears pulled far back. Juniper had asked if he would like to stay home, but he certainly did not! Let the world see him and his decor in Cammy-hatch glory! He could tell Skoll and Eilidh and Faolán all about it when they got back. And HE would be the brave one, for going out so very far to meet these new neighbors!

With Juniper and Stardust, of course. He passed the women a smile as they closed the distance.

And the smile promptly dropped as the door creaked and groaned with foreboding unwelcomeness, his eyes growing wide. How many wolves were in here, exactly? Pressing himself close to the green and grey wolf’s side, his tail anxiously stood still, weaseling back into place. Ay, caramba..

But by the time he reached with a sidling flank to lean up against Juniper again.. ¡AY, CARAMBA! They were already gone! Instantly widening his stance and whipping his head about to try to spot them, he headed for the next place with as many adults he could see to ask around.
