It's fine, really. Blip's instinct told him to go after a certain amount of time. As if nature itself wanted Blip to leave his family. Compared to these wolves, Blip is more like an adult. Still a child - but he can care for himself well enough already. These little things couldn't hunt for themselves even if Apple tried to get them to. It's not a bad thing.
An Adventure. Blip is ready. He hasn't left his new siblings behind since joining with them. If they went out, he did - if they slept, he did. Blip did not want to leave and explore without the others. Apple pushing them out is a nice surprise.
"Where are we going?" Blip asks, eyes wide with excitement. He shakes out his feathers with glee. Stretching his wings wide to give the muscles much needed use.
