The only good thing to transpire since arriving in this place was the continuation of her freedom. When she elicited an interest in the world outside of Satriya there was little to no resistance, only a subtle insistence that Aiesha bring a guardian with her for protection while she gathers her bearings; this wasn't so far-fetched given her status as a princess, and so she accepted this caveat and went to stretch her legs, and seek her freedom.
After she had been fed breakfast the girl headed for the outskirts of Satriya, then continued west, and for several hours she explored. The further she went the smaller the obelisk became; she chose not to look back upon it more than once, and became focused thereafter upon the natural paths skirting the sands, leading to grassy hills. From this high place she could see quite far—and so she waited there to catch her breath, plotting where next to go.
Further west looked to be choked by trees! Such a forest was unlike anything she had ever seen before, and Aiesha was immediately intrigued.
