”M-m-aybe we h-h-ave to teach it,” she lets her wide eyes glance over at Skoll, tail slightly patting the ground beside her. He seemed nice enough so far! He tried to sing the song of the birds, even if it didn’t work out. It was better than nothing! Her parents and siblings always praised her for even the smallest attempts at doing anything…and she couldn’t imagine trying to get at life without that. She would have died by now, she knows it!
She gulps as her ears pull back a bit, turning to look back at the bird now with a curious glow. Eilidh lifts her head up and lets out a little howl. It is light and airy, carried across the wind delicately. Her howling voice was quite nice and pleasant to the ears. She lowers her head quickly lifting her head to see if the bird replies with a howl.
”That is a howl, birdy! That is how wolves sing!” she said, with a strange touch of confidence and her stutter disappearing…for but a moment. Her look was hopeful, but she only heard the regular song of the bird in reply.
