Ranks Further Explained | WIP

Anchor(s)
This is the group’s figurehead position, often associated with the pack leader. However, the Haven operates under an egalitarian style of authority, as the Old World had shown them that a true hierarchy could only breed hatred and destruction.

- The Anchor is meant to be the Heart of the group; it beats steadily with the rest, but cannot function without the entirety. The Anchor can be tasked with the final word, the final say, when decisions are stuck at a standstill. However, major decisions that impact the entire group will be made through the voices of the Harmony Council, composed of the figureheads of Root, Wind, Fire, Water, and Spirit.

- The Spirit figure is often the heir, if there is one. However, the Anchor will assume this position in the interim or until a proper heir is chosen.

- Normally, a single position, but it can be held by two wolves, often those who are mated together.

The Harmony Council
- Root Warden - Typically tasked with managing the territory and defense of the Haven's home.

- Wind Warden - Typically tasked with all forms of communication, exploration, and alliances.

- Fire Warden - Typically tasked with managing all forms of protection within the Haven, including warriors and generals.

- Water Warden - Typically tasked with overseeing the medicinal aspects of the Haven, overseeing rituals, medicine, and forms of healing.

- Spirit Warden - Typically tasked with assisting the Anchors, but ensuring that balance is maintained throughout the entirety of the Haven.

- Composed of 5 individuals, who are tasked with the job of communication and decision-making within the pack. If four of the Wardens are at a standstill, the Spirit will make the final decision.

- Typically, positions are often one from each family or those who feel connected to a specific element.

Spirit Menders (names need changing)
These are the members who participate in healing rituals, shadow rites, and funerals, and who are often called upon to heal the mind, body, and spirit.

- Lead Spirit Mender - Oversees the rest of the menders, typically well-versed in healing the mind, body, and spirit. The Water Warden oversees the Lead Spirit Mender.

- Thorn Weaver: Herbalists and healers for the physical ailments

- Shadow Seer: Spiritual healers, often tasked with running specific rituals. Can have an affinity for eclectic forms of readings and other healing strategies.

- Ritual Bender: Typically, one who is tasked with leading ceremonies and other festivities

- Acolytes: Trainees

Seekers
These are members who are often tasked with diplomatic missions should the Haven decide on creating alliances with other groups. They are also often members built for speed and stealth, and can be tasked with couriering messages to other factions, leaders, and groups. Similarly, they are also the ones who are routinely expected to keep an eye on the borders, the forested tunnels, and ensure no soul gets lost. They know Raven’s Grove the best.

Overseen by the Wind Warden

- Lead Seeker: Oversees the rest of the Seekers, expected to be fast, stealthy, and adaptable. The Wind Warden oversees the Lead Seeker.

- Veilstriders: Often, these are the diplomatic envoys of the Haven, known for their charisma and adaptability when it comes to all forms of communication. They are often tasked with speaking to other groups, forming alliances, and ensuring a positive association of the Haven. Can be away and travel long distances.

- Whisperers: Seekers who remain close to the Haven's borders, often known to guard all those who enter and leave. They are often the first to meet another at the borders; the first face of the Haven.

- Shadow Seekers: A stealth branch of the seekers, known for their ability to be one with the shadows. They are the Haven's couriers when it comes to secret information that must be shared and maintained. Similarly, called upon for more of the silent-type investigations.

- Acolytes: Trainees

Hunters
These members are responsible for ensuring the Haven has food for all. They are well-versed in the tracking of animals and herds, hunting with the balance of nature and the elements in mind, and keeping the Haven defended should they need to. They are overseen by the Root Warden.

Lead Hunter:Oversees the rest of the Hunters, known for their quickness, their resourcefulness, and their strength or speed. They are tasked with feeding the Haven, tracking migrating herds, and teaching others the balance between hunting and protecting. Can be called upon to protect the pack, alongside the warriors. The Root Warden oversees the hunters.

Storm Stalker: These are often a collection of members who hunt in a group. They are efficient and resilient and understand all forms of hunting and tracking of various prey.

Blood Howler: These are hunters who specialize in taking down larger mammals. They are more combat-oriented than the Storm Stalkers and, should they need to defend alongside the warriors, this is the group that will be called upon.

In times of war, this is the specialized force that would be sent out to handle the more disagreeable souls out there.

Tracker (New name): These members are responsible for aiding the rest of the hunters in tracking down prey and other animals. In some cases, tracking down members or other wolves.

Acolytes: Trainees
