She had been working on getting the pups breakfast, carrying over a hare she had caught not too long ago. Her shoulder had improved, the pain now gone but the scarring prominent. It was honestly horrendous. She now looked horrendous. But she didn’t have time to figure that all out…to see if there was a way to fix this scar.

Deep down she knew it would never go away.

Dark paws were heading back to the den when the call came to her ears. She felt a happy shiver down her spine. Kirain! She knew the voice immediately. No question. No hesitation. She bounded forth, a little bit of lag in her step because of the shoulder. Sure, it was mostly healed by now…mostly. It was not 100%, and she knew not if it ever would be.

Stardust comes over the hill with hare in mouth, tail wagging as she begins to march down to Kirain. Cyan eyes quickly caught sight of Ewan, and she looked to Kirain and Faolan for a quick second…a look to ask for understanding. Stardust adjusted her movement, and set the hare down before coming to Ewan.

”Ewan…Ewan…I know strangers can be scary but, this is Kirain and Faolan. You have heard us talk about them. They went to go find your mother, Liss. They are back! They are friends!” she explained calmly, knowing he may not understand fully as she gave him a lick on the head.

She lifted her head up as she moved then to Kirain, reaching out to embrace her. ”Kirain! It has been much too long! And Faolan, welcome home!” she exclaimed, trying to hold back the tears of her joy to see them.
