the changing colors had captured her attention for a period, until it had been explained to her. autumn was coming, and then winter- and they would likely not see snow, whatever that was. for now, only rain; it filled the air with a fine mist as the sun set on the horizon. she hated being wet.
under an overhang of rock and verdant leaves, the fledgling groomed her legs and shoulders contentedly, only pausing when she heard... someone crashing around nearby.
but between her family and haoran's children, there was always someone making noise. she twitched an ear. hearing nothing, she went back to licking- until the noise-maker in question started shrieking her name in a familiar voice.
the rain did not matter anymore. the sleeping dragon sprung to her paws-and found him after only a short sprint, damp and speckled with mud and grass. a quick sniff of the air told her that he was not injured- only filthy and in need of a bath- and the little bristle of hackles subsided.
she arched an eyebrow at him instead. "yunchang?" what was wrong with him now?
