She has been awaiting this moment impatiently, for there is little the princess can do to assist in organizing the wedding besides be present and learn what she can of how her own will one day proceed. But now, she may step into her comfortable role as welcoming committee. The Empress is a moon-like and cool kind of warmth, made distant by duty. Fen is a spitfire in a cage of her birthright, and few are permitted close enough for her to burn them. The Emperor is Heaven's Fang - inviting to his guests without sacrificing the display of strength he must maintain to prevent war.

They are stronger than she, shine as bright as a thousand celestial bodies eclipsing the sky, while Lian remains...herself.

Cool waters, and the patience of the Crane. Warm golden eyes and an inviting smile, a gentler take on dragon's fire. Lian is perched like a hunting crane among the shining jewels of her family, and waits to make a soft place to land for the weary, crafted out of silken grace and words she has brewed just for this occasion.
