The sun crested over the trees now, hiding away half it's body and casting the world in the colors of grapefruit. The lights lit the snow on fire, making anything bathed in this glow look akin to the warmth of honey. Life hardly stirred at this time, things were already hustling into their dens and burrows. Betwixt the still trees, a large pile of snow rustled, it's clumps crumbling and falling away with every tender movement. It breathed and life came to it, as though some mother of earth whispered a soul into the icy depths. It emerged one white paw at a time, a long and much needed stretch making more and more of the snow tumble off.
Like a hatchling from an egg, the large woman finally made one last lengthwise stretch, her paws reaching horizontally until her body rolled down and out of the snow pile. For it were never snow at all, only a woman lightly dusted. If not for the coffee colored tones to her pelt, she would have washed away into the infinite white.
A yawn parted her maw and exposed canine teeth, ones that came down with a clack. It surprised the woman, visibly, who reached a paw up to touch the length of her snout. Her green eyes turned to scan the rest of her body, a curious expression taking place on her face. Was this a dream or a trick?
