As the celebrations rang, Tiberii's smile stiffened.

And when she found the chance, the bull slunk off on her own, drifting toward the edge of the festivities where she could seek solitude. Her sobriety aside, the wax and wane of her emotions had taken a toll on her sociability. She was tired, and it was evident in the way she pressed the hot wind from her lips for a precious moment before inhaling the cold bite of the arctic air.

She would do this a few times, steadying herself before resting her rump gently on the snow-capped earth beneath her. The sun brushed through her coat, grounding her. But the strange stirring in her belly set her to tension once more, a slant on her brow and a frown on her lips as she shifted her gaze toward her paws.

The sounds of celebration christened the air around her, ringing in her ears. And she would smile, if only for a moment, remembering who she should be celebrating and trying to forget the ailments of her own body and mind. But if one looked closely, one would see that her smile was not quite the same.

Tiberii sighed, looking upward for a few moments as she steeled herself for continued socialization.
