Days turned to weeks, and her understanding of the world steadily blossomed. The young girl grew more and more curious by the day — in fact, she was almost certain her curiosity was longer than her legs. Why were her legs so short, anyway?

A pout. A shake of her head.

It was no matter.

She didn't need long legs, and she had plenty of time to catch up with her siblings, anyway. Her father always said she was large in spirit, and that must mean that her body would soon follow suit. And so, Eden would not be discouraged, her short legs taking her tiny body in gentle strides around the area outside of their den. She'd almost memorized all the rocks up here — she'd been kept on a relatively short leash after she'd nearly tumbled off the mountain.

But she was soooOOO bored!

A sigh pressed past her lips as she turned around, peering into the den and seeing if anyone was awake. Clouds lingered overhead, lazy as they hung in the sky and blocked the warmth of the sun. Somewhere in the distance, rain threatened ... but thankfully the wind was a a minimum today.

It was quiet.

And then Eden released an echoing bark, the pitch lifting as she aimed it directly into the den.

Time to wake up!

feel free to skip Isaiah and / or wake him up :)

It hadn't really been his intention to fall asleep on his way to Tiberii and Shiloh's den. It was still so strange to him to think of her as a mother - as they had all lived longer now without their mother than with her. Although he had certainly not gone without, considering that his older sisters had all done their best to keep him and Cassius tended to. In many ways he was more theirs than he had been their parents' now.

It might just have been his bitter feelings towards his father, really, that made it just so easy to consider not belonging to the Vaès at all.

He'd been determined to try and offer the young parents a reprieve from time to time, but his first attempt had ended up with him just sitting down before the sun had really risen, and next thing he knew he was dozing. Eden's sharp echoing bark into her den didn't even disturb him, though an ear did flick. It might have just been an annoying fly though.

Isaiah

No one seemed keen on answering her call. Lazy, the lot of them! Well, it was no matter; Eden would find a way to make entertainment for herself. And with a small huff and a stomp of her foot, she turned her tiny back on the den and marched a few precarious feet further. This was particularly daring for her, especially after being scolded by Shiloh for Very-Accidentally falling down a hill.

But she was older now.

Less clumsy.

Mostly.

Tiny chest was puffed, an illusion of bravery as the wind began to whistle. She really didn't go anywhere alone — despite her outer confidence, she was rather co-dependent. For a moment, her head would swivel back toward the den ... just in case someone had heard her. But there was silence.

So she walked forward, inching bravely into the world. And that was when she saw a very strange, very alive-looking rock. The little girl blinked, the hazel in her blue eyes twinkling in the sun as she pushed her tiny red ears forward. That was when she realized that it wasn't really a rock at all ... but her uncle. Suddenly, her fear melted away, her bravery surging to the forefront as she dropped herself into a play pose and began skittering toward the larger, slumbering form.

She was absolutely silent as she neared. Well, as silent as puppy paws could be.

Three,
She placed herself in position.

Two,
She barely could contain her giggle.

One,
She wiggled her little bottom.

And without further hesitation, she launched, aiming to clumsily throw herself at Isaiah and tackle into the side of his neck and shoulders. Like a feral crocodile, she snipped and nipped, erupting into a fit of giggles as she bombarded a sleeping man.

Got 'em.
