Happy Summer, Vivarium!
Summer has finally arrived! Vivarium is filled with warm rays of sun, singing cicadas, and skies of… gray? What’s going on? It seems our carefree, hot girl summer is taking a drastic and unexpected turn. The land is being blanketed in a dense fog of black smoke, and occasionally raining flakes of ash or ember. All reaches of Vivarium has a high likelihood of experiencing this unsettling phenomena.
Many may never know the true cause, assuming it to be a particularly bad forest fire somewhere within the vicinity. Though, those on the East or West coast may notice a new type of lone mountain, within the far reaches of the ocean. Two volcanoes have broken the water’s surface, in their emergence they’ve each erupted! If you’re lucky, you may even feel the tremors as a result of their ascendance.
While the lava is cooled well before reaching the land, you may still be able to face a fire should some ember carry on the wind — though this is entirely up to you!
For this Special Event™️ staff will be offering a new badge for OOC accounts and up to five separate participating IC accounts! To receive the badge:
You will need to submit five threads to earn the skill for up to five separate IC accounts, or divide it up however you wish otherwise. You will also receive the badge for your OOC account.
Please link your 5 threads here with your character mentioning/interacting/involved in the volcano event. Threads can include the rumbling earth prequel as well! These threads do not have to be archived to count or fully completed, but each thread must have at least 5 replies to earn the badge.
These 5 threads can be made by one single character or five separate ones! Go wild, go ham, and stay safe out there.
