Helia was out of the den where her mother settled, exploring despite the cold that nipped at her ears and nose. Every step on the cold stone made her jump slightly, and eventually she found her way into a hollowed tree. The stony den was chilly, and she'd be damned if she stayed there when her mother was likely getting sick!
Quietly Helia sat in the tree for a while, but when she saw a mouse scurry past, her eyes lit up. She knew how to hunt! Kind of quietly, she crawled out and continued to crawl to follow the mouse. Her little silver frame slinking along the dirt, weaving around trees until she saw it dip into a burrow, and she launched forwards, her front half pushing through the burrow entrance as she dug.
Only when she realized it had gone much deeper than she could get to did she huff, but also, she realized she was stuck. Helia's front half under the ground, stuck inside a burrow, was not on her bucket list today. With frost-nipped ears and sore, frostbitten paws, Helia kicked her legs and tried to free herself. growling and yipping briefly.
