The sea roils and the air hums with a strange, electric pulse. You dream as the Moving Isle stirs again, not as a balm to Mythris’s unstable power, but now as an unexpected agent of wrath. Great fissures have suddenly torn open across all of Mythris, gaping wounds spreading throughout the continent that grow ever more numerous the closer the Isle drifts.

The moderator vote has concluded, and we’re excited to share the results! Middy and Rosie Partytime are returning, and we’re thrilled to welcome Calico as our newest team member.
As a small treat, check out the Skills page in the Guidebook to explore three brand new Skill Trees as well: Death-Touched, Curator, and Naturalist.
Curator and Gravedigger have been moved from the Miscellaneous tree into their new branches. Thank you to everyone who participated in our close moderator poll - we had some fantastic candidates! Have a wonderful week.

Congratulations to Highwayman Howff for their successful formation in Verdigris Row! We can't wait to see how they progress as they settle into their new home.
In other news, by popular demand, you may now earn a shiny new badge related to our Valentine's Day event - now get in there and huff some flames! This can be acquired in addition to one of the other 'rainbow flames' earned during the Board Wide Plot.

How strange - all the fires now glow with a pink flame rather than the rainbow previously witnessed. With the strange new color, there is also a strange odor emanating from the flames. The effects can be read about here.....when we asked for someone to turn up the heat, maybe this wasn't what had in mind.

As a follow up to our earlier conversations surrounding the updates to Viv's disciplinary system and reintegration framework, we want to pause and gather community feedback.
We’re launching a community survey today and keeping it open until January 5th to give everyone adequate time to read, reflect, and share their thoughts! This feedback will help inform how the program is rolled out and implemented. Click here to participate in the community survey!

We have some exciting announcements! First off, a huge welcome to our newest group, Tianlong - they've put in a lot of work to get here, and have now settled comfortably in Verdant's Grace.
Secondly, with feedback from the community, we have adjusted our Skills system to better reflect the relaxed nature of Vivarium. Fewer points are now required for each Skill tier, and can be seen in the Guidebook here.
We have also, at member suggestion, crafted a guideline section to help users know what actions qualify for earning each Skill.
Unfortunately, we do have some sad news as well; Seikii has disbanded, and the Ichorwood now lays unclaimed. We hope they may return one day, and wish them all the best!

All Hallow's Eve is upon us ... and something spooky this way comes.
Just as the strange light of the eternal blood moon wanes, there is a new magic that touches Vivarium. But this magic is dark and heavy, fraying the edges of the realm between the living and the dead.
On Halloween only (10/31—11/3), the dead walk among the living once more. Check out this post for more information!

The Moving Isle
A large island in the shape of a slumbering wolf. There are days the island seems to stand up and wade through the ocean, searching for a new place of rest. While the Moving Isle can be explored, characters will be teleported off of it when it decides to relocate.
