Thanks to our beloved CJ we have made sure that the Mark of Mythris is displayed prominently in both on our quick view and full profiles. Staff members will be adding the Marks to character profiles from the Rewards Thread as we go so please be patient with us. We’ll keep the Rewards Thread open until May 6th for claiming, so make sure to decide and let us know for each of your participating characters! If you change your mind on what Mark of Mythris your character receives, we’ll just ask that you post in the Help channel to let us know with May 6th as the final day to make changes.
We realized very quickly that without accounts to mark, it will be difficult keeping up with potential inheritance rolls for litters since so much can still change before litters are born. So we will roll for inheritance at birth for the Mark of Mythris for each puppy, still keeping the same odds, and parents will get to choose what Mark *or* allow players to choose what Mark their puppy receives.
We’ll also be finishing up our updates for the Guidebook this weekend to include this information, but in the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to a member of Staff! Thank you!

Quick announcement! After discussing a few ideas, we've decided to introduce a new feature: Marked characters can now pass down the potential for a glowing trait to their offspring (whether conceived naturally or via Tree).
For any parents of upcoming litters interested in this opportunity, please contact Staff, who will roll a 1 in 4 chance for each child to inherit a Mark. The parents will be informed of the result and, if successful, may choose any Mark for their child from the table here.
We're also sad to announce that Calico has made the decision to step down from staff to better focus on her IRL health and enjoy the hobby without added stress. We've truly loved our time with her on the team, and look forward to continue reading her stories as they develop!

Sike! Our actual April Character of the Month is our beloved Amaranth, not that stinky Dream Visitor guy who regularly hijacks our Narrator account.
On to other important news: seeing as how the team got SUPER busy this month with travel and other external life things, the BWP finale has been postponed to April 14th.
As such, to cause minimal timeline hiccups and ensure people can continue posting present-day until then, it is now assumed that the BWP Door Threads are forward-dated and taking place on the 14th instead of the 1st.
(If you need help handling something related to the shift, feel free to ping staff and we can assist you!)
This also means that any stragglers who haven't gotten their characters in a Door yet still have the opportunity to do so.
I know some of y'all are also anxious to know the outcome of your characters' choices (a light bruise? A lost limb? DEATH?), so those who simply can't wait until then are free to message staff and inquire.

The Runes have all been found. The hunt is over.
A final dream falls across the creatures of Mythris, revealing a long-buried tragedy that now turns every gaze toward the Dream Visitor and the role he has played in the calamity now tearing the world apart.
As the land continues to split and fracture, hope begins to fade - but at last your efforts bear fruit. Every Rune uncovered from the past year is called forth from every corner of the continent, drawn together by the Dream Visitor’s will. Their power gathers in a great surge… and before you, three portals open.
You may choose only one. Each path is vital to restoring Mythris and resisting the terrible fate that looms on the horizon.
Only together can you succeed - now, the ending of this story is yours to shape until 4/1.

The sea roils and the air hums with a strange, electric pulse. You dream as the Moving Isle stirs again, not as a balm to Mythris’s unstable power, but now as an unexpected agent of wrath. Great fissures have suddenly torn open across all of Mythris, gaping wounds spreading throughout the continent that grow ever more numerous the closer the Isle drifts.

The moderator vote has concluded, and we’re excited to share the results! Middy and Rosie Partytime are returning, and we’re thrilled to welcome Calico as our newest team member.

Congratulations to Highwayman Howff for their successful formation in Verdigris Row! We can't wait to see how they progress as they settle into their new home.
In other news, by popular demand, you may now earn a shiny new badge related to our Valentine's Day event - now get in there and huff some flames! This can be acquired in addition to one of the other 'rainbow flames' earned during the Board Wide Plot.

How strange - all the fires now glow with a pink flame rather than the rainbow previously witnessed. With the strange new color, there is also a strange odor emanating from the flames. The effects can be read about here.....when we asked for someone to turn up the heat, maybe this wasn't what had in mind.
