Mark of Mythris

Characters you may notice with special glowing traits (any feature listed in the table below) are those who took part in the finale of our first Board Wide Plot. In recognition of their role in preventing calamity and restoring the world to its former, lush state, they were granted a unique Mark of Mythris - a gift honoring their sacrifice and courage.

Mark of Mythris
  • Flecks of light shimmer within your eyes, glowing softly in dim conditions.
  • Your fur emits a faint but unmistakable bioluminescent glow.
  • Your bodily fluids - tears, saliva, mucus, and the like - carry a subtle, eerie luminescence.
  • At times, a wispy blue aura drifts from your form, like smoke curling off your body.
  • You no longer cast a shadow, as if the sun cannot see you.
  • A glowing Rune is seared permanently into your flesh, pulsing faintly with unknown power.
  • Every scar upon your body now emits a soft glow.
  • One item or accessory you carry to the Trees may become imbued with a permanent blue luminescence.
  • Your voice carries a faint echo, as if something - or someone - unseen speaks alongside you.
  • Small motes of light drift around you when you remain still for too long.
  • Lines of scrawled, glowing Runes appear etched into your fur briefly during periods of heightened emotion.

What color can the Mythris Marks be?

Note that all Marks glow with an inherently blue or white hue, but are allowed to fade into a secondary color of the characters' choosing.

Can my character reincarnate with their Mythris Mark?

No, the Mark may not be reincarnated; the only characters eligible to carry their BWP rewards with them into their next life are those who paid the ultimate price and sacrificed themselves in the Third Door.

Can I create a new character with a Mythris Mark?

No, there is no way to create a character with these traits outright - with one exception. If you adopt or create a child of a parent who bears a Mark, there is a chance for that trait to be passed down.

This inheritance is determined by a random roll (1 in 4 chance) conducted by Staff at the time of birth.

How can I see if my litter gets an inherited Mythris Mark?

When the litter of a Marked parent is ready to be born, and if the parents choose to, on the day prior to or on the day of birth itself, parents can contact Staff to roll for each child to determine if they pass the Mark down.

If the roll is successful (from the 1d100, the roll must be 75 or above), the parents - or the adopting player, if applicable - may choose any Mark from the table above for the child to receive.
