So you want to earn some skills for your character?! Although skills do not provide any in-game advantages from a mechanical standpoint, earning them is a fun way to display and catalog your character’s experience and adventures.
At this moment in time there are currently 7 base skills available with a total of 5 additional specialties per base skill. The base skills are as follows:
Base skills are the stepping stones to more advanced badges in their trees. To fully earn a base skill, you must acquire a total of 25 points.
These advanced skills are only able to be learned once its respective Base skill is earned.
You must earn a skill tree’s Base skill in full before you will be able to progress into any of its Specialties - for example, if you want to earn Berserker under the Warrior tree, you would first need to acquire the Warrior badge.
Consider Base skills as your character getting a feel for the skill before they can start doing crazier things with it! Specialty skills require a total of 30 points to earn.
Your character has proven themselves more than capable by earning either a Specialty skill or a Miscellaneous skill - now what?
You may now work toward achieving Expert in that skill! The cost for earning Expert in your earned skill of choice is much higher than when you would work to acquire its standard badge - you will need an additional 50 points dedicated solely toward that goal.
Only the most dedicated characters are often able to do this, and upon reaching it, your skill icon will be updated to reflect this!
Miscellaneous skills are unique, separate skills that do not belong to any skill tree. You may earn these freely and at will, with no requirement to earn a prior skill to make progress toward them!
To earn a Miscellaneous skill, you will need 30 points.
If you wish to earn Expert in a Miscellaneous skill, you’ll need to earn an additional 50 points.
